I started with a few vehicle design warm-up sketches this morning. Instagram is a fantastic place to find car references. I went ahead and finished out the Olds Cutlass.

Created during a class work day.
90% of the work on this piece was created on my iPad Pro. My tribute to Prince.
A quick painting warm-up featuring something I’ve never drawn before. This was painted entirely within the desktop version of Sketchbook Pro.
I’ve missed drawing cars. Here are some sketches, featuring an assortment of muscle car vehicles.
Process work for a project I assigned for my Concept Design / Advanced Illustration class. I had to go through several unsuccessful drafts during the sketch / planning phase before moving forward with an illustration I felt happy with.
I purchased an iPad Pro last week. I’ve slowly but surely begun making more art with it. This particular piece was illustrated in Procreate using a combination of custom digital brushes and marker pens. Text and manipulations were performed in Adobe Photoshop on my Mac. All in all, I’m really loving the iPad Pro *ahem* experience.
A little something I threw together this evening to show my concept design / advanced illustration students. The only brushes I ever use for my painting are the free set from Chris Wahl.
